The University of Kentucky has been selected to host the next edition of the Road Safety and Simulation International Conference.

 

The Permanent Steering Committee has unanimously approved the very interesting and well-structured proposal submitted by the University of Kentucky (UK), in collaboration with the Kentucky Transportation Center (KTC) .

 

The Conference title "Improving Decisions Through Safety and Simulation Tools " allows putting these tools into practice and lets agencies automate complicated processes, provide consistent decision support, rely on science-based and data-driven analysis, and give their safety practitioners the ability to perform complex analyses quickly.

 

Prof. Eric Green is the General Chair of the RSS2024 Conference. 

The conference is scheduled on 28-31 October 2024, and will take place in Lexington, Kentucky

Due to the current developments regarding COVID-19 pandemic, the 8th Road Safety and Simulation Conference is postponed to take place on 8-10 June 2022.

All accepted abstracts will remain valid for the new dates.

Furthermore, the RSS2022 Local Organizing Committee re-opened the call for new abstracts to be submitted, through the RSS2022 website (nrso.ntua.gr/rss2022/), according to the following time schedule: 

  • 28th June 2021: New Abstract submission deadline (up to 500 words)
  • 6th September 2021: Notification of acceptance deadline (approximate)
  • 29th November 2021: New full-text paper submission deadline (for both waves of abstracts)
  • 31st January2022: Authors informed on review results (approximate)
  • 7th March 2022: Final paper submission deadline
  • 8-10 June 2022: Conference

The National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) has been selected to host the next edition of the Road Safety and Simulation International Conference.

 

The Permanent Steering Committee has unanimously approved the strong and well-structured proposal submitted by NTUA, in collaboration with the Hellenic Institute of Transportation Engineers.

 

The Conference title "Road Safety in the Digitalization Era" aims to gather research work in the area of road safety, in relationship to simulation, from all over the world. The Conference will feature interesting workshops, special sessions, and technical tours.

 

Prof. George Yannis will be the General Chair of the RSS2021 Conference.
